  3. Ingrid says:

To call is a witch hunt is just nothing but a cover-up

  4. redstatemoron says:

Because many people are morons and will believe it.

  5. flawbit says:

    really? Sources perhaps?

Oh and lets just forget the fact that the accusations are unfounded.

  6. buffytou says:

The Republicans have pulled out all of the stops in their attempts to prevent the public from learning anything about Sarah Palin’s beliefs and policies.

    WHAT ARE THEY HIDING???

  7. lilloric says:

you would call it a witch hunt if you did something wrong and were about to get caught

    Spin spin spin, baby!

I also get a laugh out of the argument that McCain/Palin’s camp is using that the Republicans heading up the investigation were partisans who were burned by Palin’s reforming of the Alaskan govt.

    Yeah….right……

  9. truth seeker says:

ignorance of the facts and fear……..

at this stage of the game, let’s face it.
    no one cares about Troopergate,,

    but then there is Karma…

  11. u_bin_called says:

you mean the republicans who lost cushy committee chairs and fat kickbacks thanks to Palin’s reforms…?

you mean the republicans who Palin described as the “gool ‘ol boys” that she would root out of government, because her loyalty was to the People…not the Party…

…hmmm….maybe SHE should have been the Dem nominee…considering you could SEE her “Change”…

Because when someone is in a scandal (or in the potential of a scandal) the tactic is to play like the person is a victim. It plays to their base because the base loves thinking of themselves as being victimized. They want to appear that the world is against them… it implies that they are treated unfairly; in this matter I say that if there is no wrong doing then expose the committee’s (which consists of both parties) motives by meeting with them.

It looks very suspicious when a woman claims to be like a “pit bull” runs and hides from a investigation that she says has no merit. Meet with them, present your evidence and testimony and go back to your campaign. Its that simple if you have nothing to hide.

  13. Last Ranger says:

It isn’t headed by a Republican.
It is headed by an obama supporter.
    draw you own conclusions.

  14. Optimum Physique says:

Who will she say those Republicans are? Friends of the other Republicans she burned on her way to the top?

Because some of the Republicans here in the state of Alaska are part of a long term “good ole boy” network that she busted up when she came into office and they pretty much have been hatin’ on her since she was part of the Oil and Gas Ethics Commission because she exposed much of the corrupt politicing that was going on. The Republicans AND Democrats have been in the pockets of big oil for decades now…BP/Conoco Phillips, Tesoro, Ameco, etc. and so forth.
Alaskans know about it but have not had much luck in electing any political figures that were willing to stand up to them and change things. She has. All of the “troopergate” fiasco stems from the Safety Commissioner’s “issues” with Gov. Palin…first increasing the budget and then recalling part of those funds to redirect them when it was made known that federal funding could be allocated for the same discretionary means. Monaghan doesn’t apparently like being told what to do by a woman. Don’t believe the mainstream media. She is taking a trouncing from not just the lower 48 media outlets but our own Anchorage Daily News and the local news stations up here. The Alaskans I’ve talked to support her and trust her 100%. I hope she doesn’t get elected with McCain just because I’m afraid Washington will change the Palins and how would we replace her is she does go? I think we as Americans deserve Obama. Might teach us a lesson if we can survive a liberal like him in office. Love in Christ, ~J~

Because the Republican was jilted by Sarah Palin! The Commissioner said he never was told to fire anyone… what else is there to investigate. He felt pressured… more likely he was going to be demoted so he is going to SCREAM something… whatever he can hold onto.
