Who trains people how to train waterfowl hunting/field trail dogs ?
ByI have got my Lab trained and ready for hunt tests and hunting. I watched the process and would love to learn how to do the training myself. I was wondering if there was someone who you could go to, to learn how to train these dogs for this. Books and videos do not do it justice. thanks, Dave

Join a dog training club, the person that trained the dog can probably refer you. They are not for profits of people preparing to take AKC tests. The breeder should be able to refer you as well and you can always get info from the http://www.akc.org .

Look for a hunting club in your area-if you are having a hard time, first look up local Gun Clubs, and give them a call and ask them.
I think the best way would to be to contact a club, the members would obviously have dogs trained in that manner, so they would be able to point you in the right direction. I bet it would be great to apprentice to a dog trainer, you could learn so much that way (I think hands on is always the best way)

victoria stillwell she is a dog trainer and she does it for free send in a video of your dog and she will help you train him go to animal planet.com to send her a video trust me she helps

Join your local Labrador club. A lot of clubs get together on weekends to train together, and there will be plenty of people willing to work with you to teach you how to train your dog.
If you’re lucky, you may find a pro that will let you tag along on their training sessions, and to field trials and such and teach you everything.

Sometimes you can fing them in the yellow pages of the phone book: dog training, hunting, field, gun dog kennels and trainers.
Next, use your imagination and do a www search:

There are many breeders of “field” Labs…. only one off the top of my head: Diamond P Kennels in Calif, where my daughter bought hers
