when i go dove hunting we use our pet Black labs, and they do a really good job. two of the ones we use are our friends and they are strictly trained for it. ours is more of a pet, but she still does an extremely good job, an shes still young. so i suggest black labs. hope this helps!

I like something in the retreiver class, since that is all they will be doing. WIth dove hunthing there won’t be any pointing or flushing needs. It would also be a good duck dog too!
