When will the human race show compassion?
I was raised on a farm and grew up eating beef, poultry, rabbit, pork, and home grown veggies. We treated our animals with respect and were grateful to God for providing food for our family. We are the caretakers of the animals not the persecutors. These hateful Godless individuals abusing animals being slaughtered have a place in Hell waiting for them. The animals are Gods own miraculous creation. He made man to rule over them yes, but not in cruelty. The Indians respected the animals they hunted. Why can’t we. Are we as Americans too good, too high? No, too evil is more like it. God loves all his creatures even the most lowly. Do we disrespect him so much that we abuse the abundance HE gives us? HE made the cattle, the chickens, the pigs. Man has much to answer for.

Interesting view, but you sound almost paranoid, and I’m not saying it’s wrong. The way people treat their animals is a good reflection of themselves, their sense of dignity and upbringing. People who treat animals badly are generally lower class, uncaring people. I live in Africa, have seen horrendous things done to animals, especially in places like Sudan. Good reflection of what the people are like.
Before you judge man and attempt to punish them beyond your own mortality, consider this my Christian friend…
We live in a universe (Made by some kind of God) that contains organisms that survive by eating organisms.
What kind of spiteful God would make it so that animals had to kill eachother to survive?
Common religeons believe that God is this compassionate, wonderful guy. But if you examine the bare backbone of reality with open eyes, you’ll notice that he has set us up to have a bad time.
Food for thought
Where is your compassion for those who are lost and perceived as evil?
Hypocrisy will get us nowhere.
It is a by nature we tend to attack or abuse animals. If we need to give up abusing and meat eating then we will have to develop love instead of respect. I guess in this case respect comes as a by-product of love that we show towards animals and other beings.
In a religious sence; We clone animals so we can have a variety to choose from @ our local Mc Slaughter or any wonderful fried chicken dump. Humans have a hard time respecting themselves and others. Couldnt imagine one spending time fighting for the right of cloned animals when in our country we have starving people and children. I was raised similar to the way you were and I understand your point. If Indians or cavemen all had guns and the ability to just go grab some grub like Fred and Barney they would have. Why fight off bears and dinosaurs if they could just be caged and cloned in a controlled environment. We are just at a time in history where this has all just begun. Our way of life will be looked at by other generations as we have looked at our settlers in history. Not everyone has a farmers education or a house with enough land for a BBQ grill much less 30 acres of property to raise your own crops and livestock. So you cant say that they are evil. Americans are actually the civil ones when it comes to this topic. We at least have guidelines to follow “Not saying they are good” but we do have them. Other countries tear fins off of sharks, kill puppies, monkeys, live snakes, cats, random birds, and some cultures even ate human flesh. They lived closer to the indians way of life then we would ever know. Read about the Myan Indians. Yes, they did use everypart of an animal after the kill. We still do! We draw with it, glue arts and crafts with it, make dog food from it, fishing chum, clothes, and all that smelly good stuff we like our ladies to wear and all that soap we use to stay clean and up to todays standards. I do see why you feel the way you do, and I had to think about this once before and had a debate with someone over the same issue. Several years later and after several classes in school and ALOT of the Discovery and History channel, my views shifted a little on the optimistic side of it all.
I’m very glad you grew up so happily BUT there are people who live in poverty who need to eat as well this is why there are mass produced meat products… its simple.. until we look after each other properly animals have not chance
stop being naive . you know how this world works
In 2008, 9.08 billion chickens were slaughtered in the United States according to USDA data
Humans are omnivores. We kill and eat to live. What is your problem?
