    You can see what we are up against with the first answer and it may be correct if the Bears behave. There are already a list of incidents because of the growing number. Let’s hope they come to their senses before someone is hurt or killed by the growing population.

    New Jersey Fish and Game Council and Governor Christie have both indicated they’re in favor of a bear hunt. However they have to go through the prescribed bureaucratic procedures to approve the hunt, which includes getting Robert Martin to approve it. (I’m not sure if he was appointed by Christie or Corzine, so I don’t know where he stands on the issue.) Which takes time. They’ll also have to deal with the inevitable legal challenges which will be filed by the nut-jobs. So figure that the earliest you could possibly see one is this Autumn. Personally I think its much more likely that you won’t see one until at least Autumn 2011 or Spring 2012.
