Whats the hunting like in Alaska?

Are the rules as strict as Washington State? Are there many animals to hunt (and eat)? We have all sorts here, just wondering if there are deer and elk (I’ve heard not and dont believe it). Can you bowhunt? Do you still have to have tags?

It is cold, and wet most of the time.
Never been there Cutie but they tell me it is good. Yes there are deer and Elk in Alaska about the rest, I really don’t know.
