what is the best web site to find detailed maps of state owned land open to hunting in lower penninsula mich.?
Byi am a white tailed deer hunter but i am new to northern lower michigan. I live in the TB zone and baiting is illegal here. I am hoping to find detailed maps of state owned land where i can bait. Also, other tips on successful ways to bring deer in without bait would be helpful.

Sucks being a transplant eh? Hunting is GENERALLY good up there but you going to have to start making friends out of private property owners. Other than that, for this year, there is plenty of state land. Use google maps to find parcels close to farm land where they’ll be a bigger.

from my pasyt exp, contact michigan dept of concervation or state dnr, they will send you topical maps as well as road maps arial maps they charge a small fee
