		<description>There are different types of hunters in the canine world.
Sight hounds are best at hunting fast, above ground vermin. Terriers are best at hunting above and below ground vermin. 
Retrievers, pointers, spaniels, and setters seldom kill their prey, they aide human hunters (mostly hunting fowl). I don&#039;t believe a german shorthair pointer would be very good at hunting rabbits. Different dogs were bred to hunt fox, wolves and deer because those animals posed a threat to man&#039;s interests (ie: crops, livestock). 
I hate to answer your question with a question, but a really good answer depends entirely on the prey you are planning to hunt.</description>
