I think it’s german shorthair pointer because they can point, flush and retrieve in both wetland and upland areas.

yea a German Shorthair Pointer…….they are the BEST HUNTING DOGS!!!

They are all the best at what they were bred to do. The GSP may be the best at what you just mentioned, but that doesn’t help you much if you are needing a dog to track down and hold wild boar. In that case, the Dogo Argentino would be the best. And if you are hunting vermin, neither the GSP or the Dogo Argentino would be suitable, you’d need a small terrier.
It just depends on what you need. That’s why there are so many hunting breeds is because there are so many different situations and different species to hunt.

Depends a lot on what and where you are hunting. There is a whole class of sporting dogs, and they are all good at something.

5

id have to say a blood hound or any dogs but i would persnaly chose a blood hound thats why god gave dogs such good noses

6

Yorkshire terriers…nasty little f*****rs

7

my dad had a beagle that was a great rabbit dog. i like them to.

8

Depends on the type of hunting you do. Some breeds are generalists; some are specialists.

My golden from a hunting line does all those things too.

9

I’m no hunter but I like the Brittany Spaniel i just think they are pretty lol! I know they are good with pheasants and ducks because my nephew has one!

10

Depends on what kind of hunting you are looking to do. Retreivers are good for waterfowl

11

hunting for what??

a pointer is good for birds.. but what if you are hunting rodents?? foxes??

12

nova scotia duck tolling retriever or pointer.

13

ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL, i have one and like everyday he brings a dead bird to the front door. trust me, they are the best hunting dogs.

14

A beagle or a boxer

There are different types of hunters in the canine world.
Sight hounds are best at hunting fast, above ground vermin. Terriers are best at hunting above and below ground vermin.
Retrievers, pointers, spaniels, and setters seldom kill their prey, they aide human hunters (mostly hunting fowl). I don’t believe a german shorthair pointer would be very good at hunting rabbits. Different dogs were bred to hunt fox, wolves and deer because those animals posed a threat to man’s interests (ie: crops, livestock).
I hate to answer your question with a question, but a really good answer depends entirely on the prey you are planning to hunt.
