You need a gun, camoflauge clothes, a call, and some decoys. You don’t need to spend alot of money on the best stuff, but be sure you have a good gun. You also will want to have some bug spray. Ticks and mosquitos are a pain.
i would recommend Ameristep doghouse blind very portable easy to set up if you are new to turkey hunting this will increase your comfort and chances of seeing more turkeys. I am still unsettled on the perfect turkey decoys get the ones you can afford and look good to you confidence is everything. Shotgun patterned and test fired by yourself…number 5 Winchester supreme turkey loads in your gauge and shell length preference.. ( i use a 3.5 ” Benelli) ifyou are in your doghouse blind you dont have to wear that much camo. U should dress for comfort. the longer you stay in the woods/field the better chance. Turkey call here is the hard part. THe slate or the box is the easiest to master, dont over complicate it. If there are turkeys prevelent where you are going to hunt…stick a decoy out about 25 yards and make subtle yelps and wait. good luck

Turkeys are rather stupid birds but have good instincs and eye sight! You need good camo, a stand or blind, and be able to work a caller!
