Training hog hunting dogs?
ByI am going to buy some hog dogs. I am thinking about buying one that is already running and catching hogs and buying 3 or 4 others that need to be trained. If I did this and bought a wild hog or two and fenced them in an area and put the dogs out to bay the hogs do you think the ones that need training would catch on and start hunting?
Yes wild hogs are dangerous, but they will all have collars on made for baying hogs the collars cover their necks to avoid serious injury and I will always be nearby.

I don’t know anything about hunting hogs but I do know dogs. If one dog is having a good time the others will want to play that “game.” The dogs might be able to learn how to hunt hogs in this manner but aren’t hogs dangerous? Putting young or inexperienced dogs in this situation might be a bad idea. Anyway, hope this helped. Good luck and be safe!
