Archive for good

I want something for hunting anything from squirrels to foxes and coyotes. My main concern and please take this into account is noise. NOISE NOISE NOISE is the deciding factor for this caliber. I want it quiet. I already have a .22 so don’t reccomend that. Also is a .223 the same as .22 in terms of knock down power and diameter. Thanks!

I want something that is normal sized, not one of those super compact things. I would also like it to look like a normal pistol. I dont like the looks of the Ruger’s that have the really small barrel.
I don’t want a revolver, and I am also on a budget.

Cherokee Sports and Echo Calls – Ain’t nothin’ in the world like duck hunting and when things come together for a great hunt it just embeds that desire to duck hunt even deeper. Some mornings are off some are on and some make you wonder why you don’t just sell all your crap but then it happens a great morning just like you wanted and your stuck lookin’ to repeat that hunt for another dang 5 years. Just can’t quit it no matter what.

Good sidearm for hunting/hiking?

Posted by: | Comments (6)

Ok, so im moving from the hill country of texas to the ozarks in arkansas. Im considering two guns; a s&w model 646 .357, and a ruger p95 in 9mm. i need something that will be able to stop a charging bear. 9mm is cheap ammo-wise. The only thing really that im looking for in a gun is light-ish trigger pull, cost under $300 used and wont jam. at all. and cheaper ammo. What do you suggest? oh, and no single action revolvers.

Is North Dakota a good place to live?

Posted by: | Comments (5)

First let me give you a little bit of background, my fiance and I both live in Illinois and we have lived in Illinois for all of our lives. He might have a job opportunity for an oil company in North Dakota which would mean we would have to move out of state (which we are both alright with that) but neither of us know that much about North Dakota other than what we have learned from school and read online.

Obviously, moving is a scary thought no matter what but it’s terrifying when it’s out of state, not to mention almost 17 hours away from home.

I was just wondering from any North Dakota natives if it was a good place to live. From what I have read online and saw it’s really historic and has A LOT of different attractions and my fiance loves the hunting and outdoors. The pictures we have seen are absolutly breath taking as well. We are not sure what area we would be in yet.

If anyone has or does live there please respond. Telling me as much as you can would be great! Thanks!
