First event…about 7 months ago, two sushi knives vanish from their block in conjunction with this kid spending 3-4 hours at the house. He was the only house guest we had around the time the knives went missing. Hubby and I grilled our son and tore the kitchen apart looking for them. Nothing.

Latest event, just four days ago, this kid was at our house (and under watchful eye) and lo and behold, a VERY sharp hunting knife goes missing from the case. We just noticed it today. We haven’t had any other houseguests and my husband and I aren’t the type that routinely misplace such items. We use them and clean them and put them back in their place. I spoke with this boy’s mom the first time, just told her *IF* he has the knives, they are VERY dangerous because they can cut through thick plastic with ease and they aren’t toys by a long shot. I tried to pass it off as concern for his safety so she would not get offended, but honestly…well, I’ll be nice here and shut up. I am quite pissed, and I’m thinking of going to the school since mother Mary since baby Jesus walks on water and heals the sick in his spare time.

This kid is 11-12 years old. My questions are, what course of action would you take given this situation, and did I overreact by telling my son he is NEVER to bring that child to my home ever again and I advised him to not even entertain his company in school and out and about. Thing is, I’ve no proof, only good suspicion based on common sense.
Indeed Sara, that goes without saying at this point. For his own personal safety, he should stay away from my house. I hate thieves with a passion.

A few years ago I was sea duck hunting with a friend at the very beginning of the season in SE Alaska. We were apparently in an area of salmon sharks because our ducks were being taken under by what were clearly a few 150 to 300+ lb sharks. Made us very leery even using a dip net to pick up our ducks.
So here’s my question; it there some electronic device that runs sharks off that can be used in a boat?
Maybe something that can be attached to the boat?

And yes I asked this in fishing too. Just thought maybe one of you have an idea how to run them away from my boat. High DC voltage low amp maybe?

An assortment of moose film footage from the 2010 season in the Yukon with Widrig Outfitters. Most days I would see upwards of 30+ moose while glassing for the big trophy. It was about a 60-40 split between cows and bulls seen. This is definitely the best area i’ve ever seen for getting a big moose, and potentially seeing LOTS of moose while doing it. It makes for an exciting hunt.
A U.S. city has unveiled its latest crime-fighting weapon – the world’s first CCTV AIRSHIP.
The ‘HB50 Hyperblimp’ is packed with hi-tech military technology to silently hunt for criminals and monitor crime scenes in Ogden, Utah.
Measuring 54ft by 4ft, the helium-filled airship can stay aloft for seven hours, has a top speed of 40mph and can float up to 400ft.
-
It is being hailed by city officials in Ogden – 35 miles north of state-capital Salt Lake City – as the latest way to tackle disorder in its crime-ridden neighbourhoods.
The Ogden Police Department is the first metropolitan police force in the world to use the crime-fighting blimp.
They hope to launch the cruise missile-shaped aircraft before Christmas.
The $14,000 blimp is operated by remote control and steers using a battery-powered propeller.
It also comes with a radar transponder and two CCTV cameras and weighs just 30lb.
