I am a big bow hunter. I used to live in Fulton County and had great hunting. I just moved into Mount Greenwood in Chicago, IL. Now for hunting i don’t want to drive down to Fulton County all the time. I heard there was a couple thousands of acres of public hunting land but i can’t find anything online to see it. Where is some public land close by Cook County, IL good for both archery and firearm hunting that has good hunting?

The property is located in the center of the legendary Butte Sink. The Butte Sink is a very large natural seasonal marsh which is famous for its excellent waterfowl hunting since the turn of the century. The Butte Sink is located approximately 45 miles north of our state capitol, Sacramento. The property is easily accessed via Highway 20 to West Butte Road and then to North Butte Road. Highway 20 intersects Interstate 5 in Williams to the west and Highway 99 to the east in Yuba City. The property is owned by the Live Oak Gun Club, LLC. Within the LLC there are fifteen (15) ownership shares, one for each member.
