I am five foot four and 118 pounds. I run, go to the gym, I am in a soccer league, and I do yoga. I watch what I eat, and if I can’t see my abs when I lift my shirt, I go down to two meals a day. I most certainly could keep up with the hounds. Problem is, I don’t think I could do much once I got there. The spear would have to be AWFUL sharp, because upper body strength is not my forte.

On the other hand, most of the guys at the shooting range are pretty hefty. Many of them would outweigh most of the bears or pigs they went after. The problem is they would have a coronary or split their pants if they had to run a half block.

Would you be willing to hunt a dangerous animal Medieval style with nothing but cold steel on the end of an ash pole? With hounds, and a bunch of other guys, and some people on horseback? I would do it if we had a lot of big dogs and a lot of other guys. I figure all I have to do is run faster than the other guys, if the Grizzly breaks free of the dogs.

You are six foot tall, 265 pounds, and you claim you have no excess body fat? I think you need to have a look see at a height/weight chart.

Being fat and out of shape is an outstanding survival characteristic. Run with that one.
