@yamaha26 Many thanks! My throw went right under him, not even a scratch, lol. This is not something I would recommend, feral hogs can be very dangerous, as you can see, the big sow in the bunch almost charged me. I always carry a pistol as backup now. The boars have very sharp tusks and know how to use them!

@wildworksmedia Yah i know what u mean, what these hogs decide to do sometimes is just crazzy. I guess i’ll stick to my bow hunting now haha. i’ve seen videos of guys spearing hogs on there trails but would love to see a video of you getting a hit with a throw, That would be sick! Good luck

@touchnova I think an atlatl would def make the projectile faster, but I have seen a few vids with people trying it and i think the problem is all the arm movement that you have to get away with. The same with a spear, so much movement that the animal will always see before impact and react. I think the best way would be from an elavated position, throwing down, noise will still be a factor, but I think it would work better.

@wildworksmedia I think you’re right on the movement from using a spear or atlatl, am gonna give deer hunting a try with an atlatl this year and will definitely be doing it from a stand. I’ll post a video of my trials…
