Question on Guns. A Rifle to be exact.?

By

Has a law been past that I haven’t herd about? Something like, No more Tactical Rifles can be bought?
I have been saving up to get the New Colt Match Target M4
Model-MT6400C with an 8 shot, gas operated, semi-automatic. I wanted it because it is a spiting image of the very 1st Colt 1963 M16 (the one that didn’t jam before McNamara changed the spent chamber from a stainless steel to a chrome covered steel piece)
I went to give my last lay-away payment and he gave me back a check for $900.00 then he told me the Government has stopped letting Arms Dealers and Gun Shops sell Tactical Rifles.
It so stupid because I have an 8 shot Semi Automatic hunting rifle.
My son and I, we go to shooting ranges for fun and pay to shoot ww1 and ww2 and 21st century Machine guns. It’s really a blast. I think the women get off on it more then the men! Really!
But I can say one thing at least my home is secured ready and able to handle a nut case with an illegal full-automatic AK47. Those kind of people are really out there. You wait and see what happens if our Banks Tank out and all those free loaders that get there monthly checks stop getting there checks and no other way to get there dope.

it depends on your state i believe. I own a 30 30 savage and its a US marine sniper edition… you may have to purchase out of state or over the internet if possible…That colt you want is a sweet gun…ive fired it off a few times. My buddy in the hawaiian islands got his from maui….check state laws

There has not been any legislation passed restricting the sale of AR style rifles. I would have an email from the NRA a gun ban had gone through.

where are you located

you need to go back there and question him on exactly what law has restricted him from selling ‘tactical’ rifles. There are no new laws on the federal level, but possibly locally.

There is a chance that you’ve been cheated. The gun community has gone on a spending spree since Obama was elected. They’re afraid of any future bans. The prices of tactical-style rifles has increased dramatically over the past few months to the point that a cheap AK that was $400 is now more like $700. AR-15 style rifles are up in price about 30% to 50%. My cynical side thinks that maybe your dealer realized that he could get more money from the rifle by selling it at current prices. He may have sold your rifle at a 30% higher price and then just refunded your deposit.

Like Cymond.., I hate to sound cynical, too, but it sounds like your dealer isn’t on the up-and-up. The prices are going through the roof, and it sounds like he’s trying to make a few extra bucks. Try this – have a friend go to the shop and ask if he can buy the exasct same gun. Have him tell the dealer he wants to pay cash and get the gun right away. See if the story changes.

I believe he ripped you off and sold the rifle to someone else at a much greater price. I would take my business elsewhere.*

I am not sure where you live… But they have not stopped anything in the US yet… I would go back and demand the manager.
