@ImprezaAlex my rifle has a custom machined valve body and valve stem that we make in house.. Also various other things like barrel & Bolt Probe porting, hammer spring adjustment etc..

@takeuchitb007 hey I need some advice on how to make a 40fpe qb79, what have you done to yours?
August 5th, 2011 at 11:36 pm
@RM85RID3R well there’s a number of things we do to them.. From drilling out the bolt probe, barrel port, polishing the striker, and custom machined valve and valve stem..

@takeuchitb007 how do you mod this gun?
August 6th, 2011 at 12:48 am
@GTRaiDer Out of the box they have enough energy to take a rabbit.. After mods they can take rabbits at extended ranges.. My own QB puts out 40ft/lbs which is plenty of energy for taking rabbits, squirrels,crows humanely.

Got two QB’s a 78 Deluxe and a 78, Deluxe pulls 11.85ft-lbs and the 78 pulls 10.77ft-lbs both with 21.7g Bisley Magnum .22 pellets, 12ft-lbs is the legal limit here so no more tweaking for either, although there still is alot of room to do so..
.
Out of the box they’re powerfull enough to stop a rabbit, and yes out of the box = garden gun. Once tweaked I’d be inclined to disagree.

@carnigourousplotting out of the box they should take rabbits since they’re fairly easy to take down. I suggest the .22 version.. With some very simple mod’s the rifle can shoot mid 600fps in .22cal which is more than enough for rabbits withing 35 yards.

@takeuchitb007 now thats just mental

@GWR4079 no! lol you don’t need steel pellets.. a lot of people are very misinformed with this stuff. You just shoot it like you normally would.. Also, it’s not a Co2 bottle, it’s HPA(high pressure air).. At full charge it will blow right through a 2×4 with 28gr eun jin pellets… I`ve taken squirrels at 75 yards with complete pass through..
August 6th, 2011 at 4:14 am
@takeuchitb007 sounds a bit annoying with the co2 bottle at your side all the time lol but what can it shoot thru with my standared i killed 2 rabbits with one shot at 25ft how good is yours do you need steel pellets to stop them from melting down the barrel from the pressure?
August 6th, 2011 at 5:01 am
@GWR4079 well I usually operate the rifle while it’s attatched to a bottle via remote line. Since the maintube of the rifle isn’t large, shot count suffers at these power levels.. this is why the bottle with remote line is a must.. For hunting you could charge the rifle from a bottle but you would probably get a few power shots before it falls off and needs charging.. There is a PCP tube available that’s longer and has more wall thickness.. That would give you more shots per charge.

@takeuchitb007 i ment when it is standard sorry anyway how moany shots do you get from the double charge at that psi?
August 6th, 2011 at 5:48 am
@GWR4079 well I beg to differ with you about the QB being a garden gun.. lol In it’s current configuration it’s output power is around 40ft/lbs, it will shoot a 28 grain pellet at just over 780 fps.. that’s more than just a garden gun.

i have one of these their good but if i was you i wouild buy a £1000 gun due to the quality but i have killed a rabbit at 50yrds at 8.5 fp but save ya money this is only a garden gun

@takeuchitb007 cool thanks.

@mrsuperterd co2 can reach pressures of over 1400psi depending on temperature.. The tube in these guns are engineered with a safety margin, they can handle over what they’re operated at.. We have NEVER had a problem at 1600psi.. We have tested our qb’s up to 2000psi and never once had a failure with the stock tube BUT I’m not suggesting you use that pressure.. 1600psi would be fine.. I’ve have not heard of or read of one failure that was under 2000psi.
August 6th, 2011 at 10:03 am
@takeuchitb007 hey thier,in ontario looking to make it a bulkfill. just wondering what kinda psi the co2 tube can handle. thinking of putting a paintball pressure gauge on the tube kinda like the bam sherdians. just wonder what i could fill it too i know co2 around 800 psi but 1600 safe? also do you do the valve mod like a .2240? or maybe know a web page that can help.
August 6th, 2011 at 10:42 am
@luisfitty Our co2 rifles will shoot 800fps on c02, mainly due to our custom made Magnum Valve.. 730fps on co2 is good but temperature at the time of testing is important..
August 6th, 2011 at 11:25 am
at 1600psi this rifle will put out 39ft/lbs of energy..
