I think Moody AFB area / Lowndes County has a WMA, but don’t know how good the hunting is. Best bet is to find a private landowner and get permission or lease some land. That area possesses some quality hunting, but public land is not abundant.

What are you wanting to hunt? You have wma’s scattered through south Ga.. You also have Dixon mem. forrest just east of you, it has bear hunting. To the north west, you have Chickasawhatchee which has outstanding deer, hog and turkey hunting. You have a great waterfowl wma (when there is water) in lowndes county. Once again, head east and you have altamaha wma, for just about everything there is to hunt in ga. except grouse and bear. Go to solo archery in valdosta, get the dnr regs, and it lists all the public hunting land in Ga.
