Party games for children?

My little brother is turning 9 this february the 19th and I want to plan a great party for him that he and his friends will love. It is going to take place at home (an apartment, no yard, but big enough for about 20 kids). I am going to move all the furniture around as to allow more roaming around space and I am going to hide anything that could break. So I was wondering if anyone had any cool ideas that they have tried or know of that could work for a party that will involve children from the ages 7-9? So far I have come up with these games:
Musical chairs
Pass the parcel
Pop the Balloon
Pin the Tail on The donkey
Hide and Seek (?)
Treasure Hunt
Chinese Whisper
Simon Says
Wheelbarrow Race (?)

(?) – depends on space

Also, if you have any other suggestions on where we could have the party that would be great too…just not any of these food places because we have already done that before and want something new.
Thanks

I neat place to have a party is at the movie theatre, the major chains have a party plan already in place, not sure on the costs. Under $10 (US) a kid probably. It usually includes a movie, a pizza party and drinks, and some decorations. You bring your own cake.

Otherwise, just have fun in the apartment, and another game to do is ” Pass the Lifesaver”. Get some drinking straws and a pack of mint Lifesavers candy, give each kid a straw and have them sit in a circle, start with one candy, slip it onto the first kids straw and have them pass it to the next kid with their straw only. It’s hilarious! Then you can add more candies as the first one moves down the line. You can play music and stop it and then whoever has the Lifesaver has to sit out. play until you get down to just one kid and s/he wins!

For some fun novelties, go to this website, it’s pretty cheap

Fun games for boys that age would be some relay races – you can still have them inside, just make them walking or crawling races.
    Balance something on their head
Balance egg (or ping pong ball) on spoon
    Crab crawl
Walking backwards through a obstacle course …. etc.

Silly string fights are always favorties of boys! :)

Make a treasure hunt – hide several small toys or favors around the house and give them clues (make them hard enough that they have to work on solving them) as to where they are hidden. My boys love treasure hunts or scavenger hunts or any kind. I make them last longer by adding activities they have to accomplish before they can get the next clue – silly things like building a block tower over 4 feet high, singing 3 nursery rhymes with the name “John” in them, doing 10 summersaults, playing leapfrog, building a human pyramid … etc.

There are some more fun games here:
