get a remington 7600 pump best you can get i got one in a 243. are whole gang uses pump there the best you can get for fast shooting.

you don’t need fast shooting if you just aim.. Fist off 30/06 is a sweet all around round an will scratch all the itches you want scratched. 120 grain to 200 plus I personally would pull for the Sako but its all about what fits you comfortably..

Remington 700. That’s the action that the Army’s M24 sniper rifle was based off of, not to mention all the SWAT snipers that use that rifle in .308. Good choice, also the other guy mentioned the 7600, they are good too, my friend’s dad has one in .30-06 that he uses for Bucks in West Virginia.

I’m a big fan of the Sako/Tikka line. The Sako is a great choice, can’t fault them for quality or good looks either. I appreciate someone getting back to real top line rifles. With the combination of moose, bear and caribou I would load 180 to 200 grain bullets instead of 165s. Caribou have a reputation of being more difficult to put down than deer and elk for some reason, and moose and bear always deserve a little more punch just to anchor them down better.

    * Purchase a Remington or Savage Brand in a bolt action.*
