Ruger M77 hawkeye international may be something to look into

Check into a .270. Probably the best deer round ever produced. As for a model, look at some Remington 700. Very accurate, like the 10/22 of the big bore world, with almost unlimited customization and available in all the popular calibers out there.
Click the first link to see if there are any models you like, then check on gunbroker. They seem to have a lot of cheap Model 700′s there.
EDIT::
I don’t understand the rash of thumbs down for people giving honest answers recently.

The Remington 700 in 30.6 is one of the best deer rifles ever made, it is also a good all around cartage. It is the top Choice the U.S. military use, for its snipers.

I would say either a Remington 700 or a Savage…..both have great out of the box accuracy…and have a variety of stock options and accessories…
