List of hunting items?

Deer season starts next monday.

Any things I should bring along?

Items I have

Guns
Knives,1 buck 119 and 1 red head with a gut hook and 2-3 folding pocket knives
Ammo
compact flash light and mag light (mag light would stay in the truck unless it is needed to track game)
side arms
water
Any other items to add to the list?
Not sure if it matters but it will probably be about 95-100 degrees on monday
Storm gal I will have someone with me to hold the flashlight and at night its still 75-80 degrees so a blanket isn’t something we need to take.

Snack, something high energy to keep you going.

G.O.R.P. Good Ol’ Raisins and Peanuts
    Granola bars or something similar
    Beef Jerky

Anything small and light but has the energy that you may need.

gloves for field dressing, small first aid kit, compass, matches, block of wood to keep the deer open once field dressed

I’d trade out the flashlight for a headlamp, a lot easier to gut a deer when both your hands are free instead of one full with a flashlight in the dark. also bring a compass, a source of flame or spark and a space blanket, since you never know if you’d need them(in case you get stuck in the woods or lost, it happens more often then you think). something like a ax makes the job of gutting a deer a bit easier since you can just crack the pelvic bone instead of fumbling around with the anus trying to pass it through the pelvic arch. some cord is also good for multiple things.
edit* you never know when the need arises for a space blanket. also, the head lamp is better since your the one controlling it, not someone else and it’ll be pointed where your looking, not having the other person guessing where to point.

If you are talking about it being hot I have a little suggestion for keeping hydrated and for getting energy, mix up some weak Gatorade. Don’t make it the real strong stuff just weak enough where you can still taste the flavor. Also as mentioned by wanna bigger bike some thing to eat is always nice.

    Didn’t mention a license.

I assume you have one, of course. But it still needs to be said.
