Is there anyone here who also loves Big City Life AND loves hunting in the Woods?

I am lucky. I live in Los Angeles. Half an hour from my house near downtown Los Angeles is the Angeles National Forest.

10,000 foot peaks, Bear, Cougar, Nelson Bighorn Sheep. I love hunting. I love being in the woods.

But I also love the Big City. I love having access to opera, the ballet, the Subway, a Dodger Game, the Staples Center, Disneyland, good Sushi, good French restaurants, going to a Starbucks in Beverly Hills and spotting the stars, the Observatory, driving by landmarks where hundreds of movies were filmed, restaurants on top of skyscrapers, the Hollywood Bowl, visiting the Aquarium, all the things that only a Mega City can have.

I love them both, the Woods and the Big City. Anyone else feel the same?

Big city life? Not so much.
Hunting (or just walking around looking) in the woods? ABSOLUTELY!

    Shoot straight and stay safe.

I too love living in the big city, in fact you have made a compelling argument for California.
If it were not for you draconian firearms laws I would consider moving there. Well that and the fact that you are on the left side of the country, and I prefer to live on the right.
The whole sunrise vs sunset thing. But I digress.
I love all the things that make the big city the big city. I have several major leagues sports teams within a shot drive, all the cultural things one cold want, great restaurants, and at least 7 Starbucks within a 5 minute drive of my building.
I do not hunt, and am not against hunting, but I do love the being in the woods. There is nothing better then spending a week ot 2 in a cabin in the middle of nowhere.
I try and take 2 weeks vacation a year and lose myself in the woods.
