Is there any good free diving spots in Portland Oregon? Lobster? fishing?

I am moving to Portland Oregon and am wondering if there is any good free diving spots? Im looking for any kind of fish to hunt. I come from southern California where I dive for yellow tail, mahi mahi, and lobster during the season. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I guess that most diving spots are free if you mean do not cost. If you mean free diving referring to not using scuba, you can dive about anywhere. The water is cold, and you will generally need a wet suit unless in a lake. You can spear rockfish along the coast in several areas. What you mentioned, is not present. There are dungenus crabs all along the coast, but you just need crab pots or rings.

Additional: Regarding fishing. There are salmon in the Willamette and Columbia rivers, and the Clackamas and Sandy rivers, also. They are not all that easy to catch, although I have caught 4 this spring. Trout are available in some rivers and a lot of lakes. Bass and other panfish are in some of the rivers, also. In the ocean, you can catch rockfish, halibut, salmon, Ling Cod, and sometimes albacore. You may need to go on a charter boat for these.
