Is June a hunting season… for ANY animal?

I was just wondering if there are ANY animals at all that you can hunt in June. I live in northern New York if that helps. Thanks.

Here are the NY State deer and bear hunting schedules. I don’t think they start out of autumn anywhere in the U.S.

Frog season opens June 15, snapping turtle season opens July 15, and diamonback terrapin season opens August 1, lol. Probably not what you’re looking for.

Even what we call “varmint hunting” in Texas doesn’t open until October.

The source has details on other hunting seasons as well, and much more information.

I have hunted, but I’m not really a fan. I have too many friends who are hunters – there are a lot of them in Texas – to judge anyone for it.

I am hunting for new birds all year. The season is open all year. To spot but not to shoot. But then you did not mention shooting anything.
