is it ok if there is a big gap above my head in my duck blind?
i built a duck boat blind to hunt out of but it has a 4 ft opening above my head. the rest of it is covered in marsh grass except for the opening. will that be ok? or will the ducks see me too clearly?
If you can remain relatively still you should be ok. Ducks can see light and dark contrasts very well, so you need to keep your face obscured from glare. Don’t look directly up at the ducks. They can also see movements and shadows well, too, so its important to break up the pattern of your outline. Most blinds do not have cover directly overhead, but when they are circling over you, keep really still.
