The state still own the deer—if they are wild. So, you have to abide by their rules.

    Can’t you shoot those itty-bitty things with a .223?

  2. Kid with a 12 gauge 10.0 says:

In my state it says you cannot use a .22 on public land,it doesn’t say anything about private property, while I would never shoot them with anything smaller than a .223 or .243 I need to put a call in and ask about this.

  3. Chris says:

NONONONO that’s a very common misconception you CAN NOT shoo them on your property with a .22 that law was made so they are killed humanly, and no matter where you hunt you have to be able to kill humanly and a .22 ain’t gonna cut it so if you happen to have DNR ride up you are up a creek without a paddle and about $15,000 poorer they dont play when it comes to humain killing. The weapon MUST be .223 or larger to hunt and large game in America

No, it is still a State hunting law.

  5. Fatefinger says:

Hunting regulations are controlled by the state. Doesn’t matter what land you’re on.

If you are a gay schoolteacher and the deer is tied to a tree.

  8. Charlie says:

Yes, but first you have to go to Alaska and try and kill a Grizzly with a BB gun.

After you do that, you’re welcome to try.
