I heard a rumer that hunting for deer in certain area’s of ohio rifles are allowed. does anyone know for sure?

    That is probably the case as hunting can be done anywhere that isn’t a civilized area or deemed park land. Some exceptions.

    as far as I know,only shotguns and certain caliber pistols plus muzzle loaders and archery are still the only legal choices you have in Ohio.
    check with ODNR to make sure.

    Yes, your state’s wildlife agency knows. Just type in Ohio Hunting Regulations in any internet search engine and hit enter.

    no high powered rifles in ohio

    No rifles in Ohio unless you are at a private game reserve. The sanctuary near Pataskala you can use a rifle. Doesn’t make sense to me but true check there web sight.
