I have been reading the reviews on most .22 wmr?
ByI have heard they are not that accurate and henry rifles, the .22 mag, is just a fun gun to shoot, but not accurate enough for small game hunting and stuff. and at 50 – 70 yrds you get 5-6 ” groups, is this true? or maybe they probably got a defect?

I think you have heard wrong, very wrong. A .22WMR out of a decent rifle should shoot under an inch at 100 yards, and has plenty of energy for things as large as yotes.

I can only speak from my own experience. I have had extensive experience with only 2 rifles in this caliber. One was my friends target match rifle. A single shot rifle capable of MOA accuracy for sure. We shot a lot of paper with that thing. And I used an old Mossberg bolt action with a detachable magazine. With a fixed 6X scope I could, and did head shots on a lot of grouse, which are legal to shoot here with a rifle. About 75 yards is the farthest I shot a bird, but hitting his eye was not a problem for that 22WMR. I would have to say that a 6 inch group with that cartridge would have to be the shooter. I have found the 22 WMR to be a very accurate round. J

It may take a bit to figure out the right ammunition, but the .22 WMR is capable of sub MOA accuracy in a good rifle. My Savage BTVS produces 1/2″ groups at 100 groups with CCI V-Max. My Ruger 10/22 Magnum provides best groups with Winchester Super X with FMJ bullets, not as good as the Savage, but well under 1″ groups at 50 yards. More than adequate for small game at modest ranges.
