hunting tips on small game and a question about wma lands (south florida)?

Hello! I just started to hunt and need some advice. Usually, we go for small game like rabbit, dove, quail, squirrel, ect.

In the past few times that I went hunting, I havent had any luck with anything, We probably stay at a spot for 2 mins and if nothing shows up, we move out. Usually, how long do you have to wait in a spot? Do you just walk and hunt? Or you sit and wait for a while?

Also, I noticed on hunting shows that they add some kind of feeding tube. It is like a black cyclinder that is supported by 3 legs, and its a pretty larger container. Can you use that on wma lands?

Over all, any advice on small game? Like what if we encounter feces, food patch, a lake patch, ect.
