How to start duck hunting?

Ive been duck hunting with my buddies and i want to help them with the calling and everything. So what call are good for a beginner like myself, and what kind of shotgun should i get to replace my other one. Another question is how do i blow into the duck call, if you could send a link that shows someone explaining how to call in the ducks, how to get them to come back, greeting call, and all that. Thanks

You will need to get an instructional DVD’s on calling and even try getting together with them and have them teah you to call. If you do it incorrectly you will end up scaring away the animals.

I reccomend the Winchester SX3 for a shot gun. It’s the greatest gun I have every owned in my life. It’s accurate, light weight, easily manuverable, shoots like a dream, handles any ammo perfectly fine and never miscycles a round.
It retails at $1,200 however if you get a good deal you can get it around $800-$900. It truly is the greatest gun I have ever owned. I’m getting rid of all other shot guns I have except my slug gun.

I HIGHLY reccomend a Semi-auto shot gun for any type of bird hunting.

Duck Commander calls are all that me and my friends use. There is also a video series that the Duck Commander puts out that has a few videos of calling techniques. As someone else said, if you don’t call correctly, then you will only hurt yourself and your friends instead of helping.

I use a H&K (old model) Benelli Super Black Eagle and love the gun to death. But truthfully, an 870 will work just as well. Your shells make more of a difference than the gun. Thats why I use Kent’s Fast Steel shells, because they are made specifically for duck hunters by duck hunters. They will cost you but it is well worth it.
