Nobody taught me. I didn't even know it was a recognized method until years after I first started doing it. The only problem is that the deer will often detect you first. You gotta be reeeeeelly sneaky. And slow. Most of the deer I killed were taken at 25 yards or less. My best kill was a bobcat that I walked up on.
