how do i train a dogo to hunt do they have to have dogs to hunt with them?
Byplease answer i have a dogo argentine and is it true that i need hounds to keep the pray at bay before me and my dogo get there and how do you train a dogo to hunt.and were do i get hunting hounds and what type is best for this job.i am only a park time hunter i usually go shooting ducks and other birds and i now want to hunt boar.

Dogs are bred to hunt, so I don’t think you’d really need to train it to do so.

my only experience hunting with dogs is coon hunting… i wold assume the same principles apply though. we would trap a coon and then let him go right there in front of the dog and give him a minute or two to run off… that way you know theres a coon and theres a fresh scent. then ya release youre dog (with another experienced dog often times) and they tend to catch on to everything… i know thats a very basic explanation but maybe it helps a little… one thing to take not of is be picky about the dog(s)you allow your pup to hunt with because they run the risk of developing their good and bad traits along with developing a dependency on a partner dog (meaning they wont hunt without their partner)
