How can I keep my myspace safe?
ByDon’t get me wrong, I think myspace is a great site for friends but it seems dangerous. I want myspace, but I want it to be just a site for me to talk to my friends not a place for creepers to hunt me down. What are some safety precautions I can use so I can stay protected?

you shouldn’t put a lot of information about you
just keep it plain and simple(:

Don’t put your real name in and don’t put much if any personal information.

Make it only viewable to people you add as friends. Make sure the people you are adding are people you know.

make sure to set your site to private, and not to put your full name for people to see. you can also set it to have only people over a certain age to see it.

The media just makes you paranoid, but instead of putting in your city and state you can do something like I live in, California. Don’t display much info. about yourself and make privacy settings so people must be your friend to view your profile.(That is alot easier on a 1.0 profile)

In order to ensure your profile is safe from predators or people you don’t know in general, you should change your Profile settings to private. How to do this?
1. Click on Edit Profile from the Profile drop-down menu.
2. In the upper right area of the screen, there are three links that are on top of eachother: View My Profile, Account Settings, and Profile Editor. Click on Account Settings.
3. Here you will see 10 or 15 links. Click on Privacy.
4. Under Profile Viewable By, select the box that says ‘My friends only’
5. Save the changes.
There you go! Hope I helped…
