Does anyone know which is easier, archery hunting for deer or elk?

I have always hunted with a rifle and would now like to take on a different challenge with one or the other. But, with no experience, I’m not sure which one to decide.
That would work aviator but something you didn’t consider is different game have different seasons and also some tags need to be applied for well before the season starts. So if anyone could give me some useful advise from experience that would be helpful. Thanks

get your bow and arrow and go into the woods. if you see a deer it would be easier to shoot the deer than to shoot an elk because the elk is not present. same thing if you see an elk it would be easier to shoot an elk that is there than to try and shoot a deer that is not there. if you see both animals at the same time it will be easier to shoot the one that is closest. keep in mind neither of these animals can shoot back so it should not be that hard.
I am assuming you will have yaken care of all the licensing and that in advance. you did not say what jurisdictiction you will be hunting in so i cannot help you with that

There both a real challenge but deer may be a little easier because elk are a lot harder to find because of the terrain the live in you have to be in good shape to hunt both on a spot and stalk type hunt , And there are more dee than elk so chances are better you will kill .
I will take a stab at it & say elk, simply because it seems to be widely the conception, that the larger the animal, the harder it is to kill it….
deer, there plentyful,,, in all states ,, and much easier with bow ok thanks denise
Neither one is easier. In your location, which is more abundant? I normally see many more deer than elk. And I don’t count members of the B.P.O.E. as an elk.
Deer are easier to start with rather than Elk.*
I assume that you have experience hunting both deer and elk with a rifle. Which have you found to be the easiest to hunt so far?
The challenge of using a bow, instead of a rifle, is that you have to get a lot closer to the animal (or at least let the animal get a lot closer to you). To do that, it helps to actually learn the animal’s habits and take advantage of your most powerful weapon: Your brain. The bow (and the arrow) doesn’t know the difference between a deer and an elk, and neither animal is “easier” to hunt than the other when using a bow.
