I’d like to add that you might be able to do so on PRIVATE property but if the state your in allows it, they do have rules you need to follow after you catch them. Like reporting them to the DNR and getting the proper permits. Don’t quote me on that, as I might be wrong or they may have changed the laws since I used to hunt snakes – back then the DNR used to tell me to GO AHEAD, catch as many of those snakes as you want. That was probably a ranger that did not like snakes mind you, but the laws have changed and you can’t go snake hunting in the states anymore from my knowledge of the law.
NOTE: There are no corn snakes native to New York or CANADA. You might find a black rat snake in one of those states but not a corn snake, unless someone released it in the wild. Those are found in the South Eastern U.S. states, not up North here… : )

I wont tell you its mean or wrong….I wil ljust tell you how stupid you are. Those species of snakes keep away even more annoying pests. So go ahead brilliant and irraticate them, you will be the one over run by annoying insects and mice.

It is illegal. Both U.S. and Candian law say if you kill an animal, whether a deer, or a duck, or even a fish, it must be used for consumption. It is illegal to kill an animal for fun and just leave the dead animal there. If you want to kill things, join the military, go to Iraq, and let’s see how tough you really are.
And by the way, Einstein, corn snakes are not native to either New York or Ontario.
Ahhh, I just looked at all the questions you’ve asked. You were the one who asked about finding snake burrows. I’m glad I’m didn’t tell you. You should get a hobby.
