Do liberals know anything about the state of Alaska?

Dont they realize that we have to hunt here due to an overabundance of wildlife that will most certainly starve to death in large numbers if we do not exert population control?
Or that we would literally have zero economy if we didnt drill somewhat for our natural resources. Why are libs trying to tell us what we can and cannot do with our own state? Alaska is still by far the most beautiful and pristine state of the 50 in terms of being wild and untouched

Simple because like most Americans they have heard of Alaska but don’t know squat about it. I really respect Alaskans just think about it they live there while no one else can.

i’m a liberal. i support your right to hunt game and understand the population control issue. i do have a bias that hunting should be done in a sportsman-like way and question the use of spotlights to blind animals, or shooting from airplanes and other practices. and i find it offensive when hunters brag about their kills as if they’ve done something wonderful when they use methods that make it impossible for the animal . i’ve never objected to hunting animals to provide necessities of life. t when people hunt to mount a beautiful buck on the wall and discard the carcass, i find that rather repellent but have no desire to pass a law to restrict your right to do it if the animal is indeed in abundant supply. i do believe certain plants and animals should be preserved when their species are endangered. i don’t know that it is particularly a “liberal” value, but i do think humans have an obligation to be good stewards of the earth. i haven’t had the privilege of travel to alaska, but have looked at many photos of family and friends who have made visits. alaska is indeed a stunningly beautiful place. we humans have sullied so much of the earth already, i hope we can preserve the few places of untouched beauty that remain. i think we humans are certainly as entitled as any species to survival, but i think we need to understand the earth and its riches are finite. like farmers who work to maintain the land they farm, i think it is in our interest to use the earth wisely so it will provide for us and few generations for a long time to come. some of us liberals in the lower 48 are a bit disgusted with palin and perhaps you’ve felt insulted by some of the barbs intended for her. speaking for myself, this is one liberal who would prefer she remain in alaska. but i don’t confuse one alaskan with all alaska.
