Do canadian citizens buying taxidermy from the US need…PLEASE LOOK?

I am looking to buy a fox taxidermy mount located within the states and I am currently living in BC, canada.
I am wondering if I need any sort of license to own this fur (not to sell it) and wanting my parcel to come through quarantine/shipping safely.

Has anyone ever bought taxidermy items from out of canada with this knowledge? Can you share your experience?

I do not wish to get in trouble with customs but I cannot find anything online with direct relation to owning fur (just the selling of it which I do not want to do)

I do however know that wolves, lynxes, etc need tags and cites but I was told that other common animals such as foxes and smaller did not need such things.

I don’t know the answer, but you can definitely find out from the Canada Border Services Agency, either from their website (I found you the link below) or by calling them at 1-800-461-9999.
