Deer Hunting — BIG 8pt Buck Down!!! 156 B&C

Deer Hunt – www.HUNTNGFOOTAGE.COM I saw this buck briefly 2 years ago. Back then he was a 10pt and I thought he was 4yrs old. Today I was sitting in the same box blind overlooking an oat patch and a road. The buck showed up, I turned on the camera, realized he was a BIG 8pt and decided to take him. I grabbed for my rifle as he was walking out of the frame, got a good rest, re-focused the camera, and took the shot. This all happened in about 1 minute’s time! I would have been in a bow blind, but it was bitter cold, windy, and raining. Thanks to the storm, I went to the blind with my rifle to scout and look for a doe. Just different over here. A lot of folks will use the western count on just mule deer and elk, and do a full count for whitetail. I switched locations in my state and found they use only western count on all deer (both a lot of mule and whitetail). I don’t assume, if someone says 4 point, I ask if they mean 4×4. Most do. But don’t worry, you’re not the only one who get’s offended by the way people count, I said 8 points talking about a whitetail when I first moved here, and the guy was upset
