can anyone tell me what kind of dog this is?
Byplease email me at mom_on_duty@yahoo.com to view a picture. just send me a hello and i will send pic of dog. i found her on the road here in southwest kansas, barely alive and very sick. we have nursed her and she idoing great but no one can tell me what kind of dog she is. we have a lot of hunting for pheasants around here and i think she may be a bird dog. someone else suggested a vizsla or german short hair. any help would be appreciated. i acan also be reached via yahoo messenger with same i.d. as email. thanks!

Thank you for being the kind of person who will pick up a stray, sick dog and take care of it. I have e-mailed you to get a picture of the dog, and I’ll try to help you determine the breed.

Vizslas are always solid reddish brown, German shorthairs are usually sort of a dark brown with freckles. Your local vet should be able to identify her. The AKC website has lots of pictures – you can check it out.

Got the pic. She looks like a lab, may or may not be mixed. Definitely not a vizsla or gsh.
