Camo Wedding?

My husband to be is really into hunting, so we are having black tuxs andbridesmaids gown with camo vests and sashes…i need pictures of camo accesories for teh wedding, and places to get them from in middle tennessee such as jackson or nashville…what color bouquets, decor and stuff?

He knows it’s your wedding, too. Find sashes you like in whatever color, then have them made at a cleaners or somewhere. That sort of thing is easy to make. You will just have to purchase the pattern.

My husband would have loved this idea but we are already married!! Go with the regular camo colors, I bet some one in Nashville could put together a awesome camo wedding. Just start calling around.
I would say for flowers and decor stick to a mostly green theme. For that punch of color you can get bright orange flowers (like the vests hunters wear) and cream colored flowers. It would look very pretty and still go with your camo/hunters theme. Ignore the people on here criticizing you. They seem to forget that it is not THEIR wedding it’s YOURS and while it may seem like a “redneck” theme it can be done very tastefully and it’s not up for them to decide. For your flowers and decor, I would probably go with whites, creams, and lots of greenery. You also might consider orange (hunter orange)… although that’s a little much.
You should probably stay away from red all together. Otherwise you’ll end up with a bunch of guests day dreaming of the red color all over the cammo… blood isn’t really something you want them thinking about during your wedding.
You are kidding me right. I know hunting is important, but do you really want everything to be covered in bright orange. I understand its his wedding too, but if he really loves you. He would just let it go. Your entire life doesn’t have to be about hunting.
I don’t mean to sound crass…and I know many others are giving you grief…but is the “camo” wedding really what YOU, as the bride, would want? Just because your future husband is into hunting…doesn’t mean you should base your entire wedding around it. Are you BOTH into hunting? is it a HUGE part of your life? Are you doing it to be funny? I guess I’m asking because it sounds like you’re doing it to include him in the wedding….but ultimately it may come off as tacky or comedic. And you should not be surprised when people ask you if you’re joking. sorry that I’m not much help with your question, but I had to put in my 2 cents.
I know this is not the answer you’re looking for, but I would STRONGLY suggest losing that entire theme! I understand that we’re all from different places on this planet, but that is hideous! Seriously, bridesmaids in camouflage vests? I just have no idea what you’re thinking right now. It’s awful! I mean, my fiance is a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but do you really think I would do my wedding in black & yellow? And wear a Steelers garter? Blech!

try a craft store and make the vests and sashes yourself.

Have you ever seen the TV series My Big Redneck Wedding. If you have not you have to see it because on there they had a wedding that was done it camo. It looked really go and maybe that can give you some ideas on what to do. You could just go to walmart or target and get some camo and make your own the way you want it done, so then you get what you want. For bouquets, decor and stuff use earth tones because your doing the whole camo and hunting thing so stay with the earth tones nature colors. Don’t listen to any one about what you are doing for you wedding because my husband and I are renewing our vows and we are have a soccer wedding. Everything is going to be soccer and I don’t care what people are saying but most thing it is a really cool idea. So have fun and get what you want.
I think it’s a cute idea, and I almost wish I had thought of it, however it is too late for me. I would definately go with an off white flower for the bouqet, it will brighten up the darker colors. And as far as the people on here saying rude things…forget them, their just mad cause their having a traditonal by the book wedding with no character.
My aunt said if she had it done over she would’ve went with a camo wedding!

Cute idea! I have seen it done before. Tell your florist what you’re doing for the theme, they’ll be able to have better suggestions, but I’m thinking hand tied baby’s breath bouquets.
I think it’s cute. You’re making your day unique to yourselves. Try shopping around for fabric and contact your local dress maker. See what they can do for you. or you can have the men in camo and the girls with fur accessories.
For the wedding you could have green and brown ribbons and bows. and more wild flowers lots of leafy plants too.
If you’re going with an outdoorsy hunting theme go with wildflowers and wrap some camo material around the bouquet.
For your reception you could put small trees on the tables or local plants. On your place cards you could have images of hunting dogs , deer , ducks or rabbits. ( or anything else your husband to be hunts)

as for bouquets, it depends entirely on your colors, i know you said the bridesmaids gowns will have camo sashes, but what color are the gowns themselves? maybe i missed that bit in your question. personally i would go with gerbera daisies which have wonderful colors mixed in with mums/carnations which are relatively inexpensive so you can have a very lush bouquet and if you purchase white mums/carnations you can very easily tint them to the color you want.
i would do mums for the men’s boutonnieres and any corsages you need for your mothers and other special guests.
for your reception you could have white table linen with a runner down the center of each table in your wedding colors. if you wanted to go for a bit of ‘hunting lodge’ look, then you could do the runners in browns and greens and for the centerpieces you can do kissing balls, and again if you use mums, and make them yourself they would be quite inexpensive to do, and they are very pretty centerpieces. you could do the kissing balls in either fresh flowers or silks, in bt. oranges, deep reds, the colors of the forest in autumn when i am assuming a lot of hunting is done! autumn colors are so vibrant and spectacular that your reception can’t help but be beautiful!
whatever you choose i wish you the perfect wedding!
p.s. kissing balls are dead easy to make yourself, so if you are thinking of those consider doing your own! you’ll save quite a bit of money that you could spend on something else!

I think the camo is an awesome idea. I plan on using a little bit in my wedding. My bridesmaids are gonna have a turqouise dress with brown sash and probably white bouquets with turqouise and camo ribbons in them. I may have my flower girl in a camo dress and the ring bearer in a tux with camo vest. My garter will be camo. And I will have white flowers with the turqouise and camo ribbons. My bridesmaids and I may wear cowgirl boots. And the bouttenieres will have a little bit of camo and turqouise. And I will probably have a little bit of camo in the reception.
