Are law enforcement individuals exempt from taking a hunters safety class?

During various academies cops, sheriffs etc. take something crazy like 200 hrs of firearms safety it would make sense that they’d be exempt. I want to take a buddy whose a cop hunting but he doesn’t want to sit through the class.

Some states may exempt their law enforcement officers from such a course. You’d have to check with the specific state from which you’d be getting a hunting license from.
You can’t get a hunting license without passing a hunter’s safety course.
The Supreme Court Justice himself would have to attend this training session by legality.
