I dont understand why people say to treat all guns as if they are loaded… how do you ever clean the barrel??? Would you clean the barrel of a loaded gun?? I certainly would not. Nor would i transport it, store it etc. IT is a very stupid statement to make.

VERY good video and an example of why even those who have been shooting all their life need to always remember the 4 rules of gun safety….

this video makes me think there should be a 5th rule..

    5. I don’t care if the gun has a safety follow the first four rules

    rofl.

I actually had a friend do the same thing to me, but he wouldn’t check. His rifle went off and I now I have a little reminder for gun safety in the front of my leg, and a larger one for ballistics of a .223 in the side.

I miss Colonel Cooper’s articles really bad, I’m glad I started saving them awhile before he passed away.

thanks for giving a reminder for all youtubers to practice gun safety just how jeff cooper did it! I seen a-lot idiots make bonehead mistakes due to their lack of awareness & muzzle control! nice vid! good work!

In his defense I will say that he made sure to depress the shell into the magazine and ride the bolt over it thus locking on an empty chamber.
