Im going to start hunting small game and furbearers….And some of them i might decide to get stuffed as a trophy.
Give me an average on how much it would cost to stuff-
a rabbit
a squirrel
a fox
a coyote
and any others in Indiana that i might come across…
please help me…thanks

You can buy taxidermied rabbits and squirrels for less than you could have it done locally.
Typically it cost $70 for a private person to have a fox or coyote tanned. Mounted will start at an additional $125 to $500 depending on what you want.
Hides for taxidermy are skinned differently from hides used for wall hangings and fur industry. You should talk with your taxidermist to determine what they expect from you. I only pay $19 to have a hide tanned since mine are all case skinned and delivered with the tail de-boned, ears and lips turned, paws deboned, paw fat removed, and the hide is totally devoid of any fat, meat or other organic matter.
Hides for mounts also have all this done, and, you need to leave extra skin around the vent. Since the taxidermist needs to sew it together – it is very important to make as few cuts as possible and have them all in the easies to hide areas.
Hope this helps.
